Sometimes you win games you should lose, sometimes you lose games you should win. When the former happens everyone just shrugs it off. When the latter happens everyone searches for people to blame. Rangers were significantly better than the Lightning tonight. They just couldn’t put one home. It happens. Forget it and move on.
Regarding the Artem Anisimov play that everyone is talking about. My personal opinion. I don’t care at all about it. I think the Lightning blew it completely out of proportion, and the fact that the Rangers ended up getting more penalty minutes than the Lightning out of that was absolute B.S. The Rangers have a legitimate gripe there. Personally, I can see both sides of the argument. Play with class, don’t show up the opposition, yadda, yadda, yadda. But you know what? Sometimes you get carried away and it happens. I for one, when I score goals in my beer league, never cheer. I just sorta skate away maybe do a few fist bumps with my teammates, etc, but nothing more. I don’t even crack a smile usually. But that’s just me, and that’s just beer league. Real NHL players have real money on the line, with real ramifications for every goal scored. Anisimov just got a little carried away. I get it. Next time though, maybe a little less sniper shot, and a little more arms in the air.
That’s all for now. Sorry for the shortness of this post, I have a ton of other things I have been trying to get through these past few days, not the least of which is planning my wedding with my fiancee. Sometimes real life can screw with your online life
