  • The trio of Prospal, Dubinsky, and Gaborik have scored 6 goals and 14 assists in 6 games played…that’s over 3 points a game for that line.
  • Since John Tortorella called that timeout in the game against the Devils the Rangers have outscored the opposition 17-6 (including a head scratcher by Backstrom)
  • The Rangers have scored 24 goals thus far in 6 games played in October. Last season for the entire month of October the Rangers scored 36 goals.
  • The Rangers are currently ranked #1 in goals per game, and #3 in goals allowed per game.
  • The Rangers have scored 7 power play goals in 6 games so far this season. The Rangers last year were only able to score 48 power play goals for the entire year (with 14 short handed goals allowed for a net of only 34 goals).
  • The Rangers have won 11 of 12 games at MSG dating back to last year.
  • The Rangers scored 7 goals tonight. They were not able to accomplish that feat even once last season.
  • What a difference a year makes. This is one, very, very good hockey team. I’m not sure when the last time I felt this was, but this team’s upper limit seems to be never ending right now. Boy they look strong. Let’s also not forget that they have already beaten the Caps, Devils, and Ducks, 3 of the best teams in hockey last year, and they only lost to the Penguins by 1 goal.
