The NHL has suspended Sean Avery indefinitely for this comment:
“I am really happy to be back in Calgary, I love Canada,” Avery said on camera this morning in Calgary. “I just want to comment on how it’s become like a common thing in the NHL for guys to fall in love with my sloppy seconds. I don’t know what that’s about. Enjoy the game tonight.”
All I can say is, that is by far and away the weakest thing you could possibly do to get a suspension. What next, 5 games for saying “hey goalie, goalie, goalie, goalie” like they did in the Mighty Ducks?
Puhlease, this is some weak sauce right here, the NHL should feel ashamed of themselves.
