I, like yourselves, am an avid reader of the Blueshirt Bulletin. Now I am sure you have by now picked up on a trend that Dubi Silverstein has harped on (correctly). That being that the Rangers need to take advantage of their powerplay. They have far too much firepower, even without Shanny, to be so horrible at it. These past 2 games have been very much a bullet in Dubis gun because lets face it, if the Rangers bury even 1 pp goal tonight, they probably pick up a point (at least). But because they were forced to press late due to them trailing, they ended up losing a game by a score that was not indicative of the play.

For the most part the Rangers flat out were the best team on the ice. However they could not get anything done on their numerous PP chances, and even on their numerous chances shorthanded. I know its easy to point to Vally, who did not have a very good game, but the fact of the matter is, good teams can win games despite their goalie not being great night in and night out. For most of this season it seems that if their goalie isnt playing out of his mind, we aren’t picking up 2 points, and even when he does play out of his mind, we aren’t always picking up 2 points.

Maybe its my soft spot for Vally in not killing him here, but i really and truly believe this game could have been won if the Rangers did ANYTHING on their powerplays.
