I’ll tell you what, even though the Rangers played like relative crap for the first 30 to 35 minutes, that last 5 to 10 was freaking incredible, except the only thing more incredible was the performance of Kiprusoff who made some ridiculous highlight reel saves. Wanna know whats going to be on TSN tomorrow? Just look at that final few flurries by the Rangers.

Give credit where it’s due, the goalie robbed us not once, not twice, but 3 or 4 times within just a few minutes. We should be leading this right now, despite playing like crap.

Meh. That’s kinda what that period was. The Rangers didn’t play very well, but they didn’t play terribly either. They were just kinda ok. The Flames on the other hand were very good at the beginning, and at the end, but were crap in the middle (crap sandwich?). This was not a particularly interesting period to watch, in fact long stretches had me sort of bored. I was particularly surprised to see a Rangers powerplay that was not only completely ineffective, but really looked like they were down a man the whole time they were up a man. Not sure whats going on, maybe they have lead in their skates, or maybe they just aren’t into it, but whatever it is, Rangers need a lot more passion in their game. Nobody looks good out there, nobody.
