When you have 4 lines all playing up to their ability, THEN you have a team who is probably going to play as you would expect them to. As of right now the Rangers haven’t had many games where they have had all 4 lines playing well. Hell, they haven’t had many periods where all 4 lines played to their capability.
But it seems now that they have gone just about 7 straight periods where they brought their A game. Sure, they are 1-1 (so far) in those games, but the effort is there. And we all know, this team was picked by many-a-pundit to be a Stanley Cup contender. And with good reason, as we clearly saw in the first period.
Rangers dominated. Let’s face it, they really did. Even with Big Valley between the pipes, they looked like, by far and away, the better team. Toronto has the offense to easily come back from a 2 goal deficit, so let’s not go nuts here, but as long as the Rangers keep playing this strong offensively dominating, while defensively responsible game, I can easily see this game turning into a laugher.
