I know I’m not alone in shuddering the second the Rangers got the 2 goal lead and failed to convert on the chance to make it 3-0. As soon as that happened i figured we’d lose. Call it negativity, call it expectations with Craig Spada reffing the game, call it whatever you want to call it, the Rangers just can not play with a 2-0 lead. I dont understand it at all, but when they have it, I just expect them to lose it. I missed a bit of the 2nd period w/ technical difficulties (which by the way prevented me from making a 2nd period post) but I saw enough to know the Rangers could have won this one.

And please dont blame this on Henrik. Sure he gave up a really really soft goal, but the other 2 goals were just terrible defensive breakdowns. Im sure losing your best defenseman Fedor Tyutin for the game (and likely the year with a MCL injury) didnt help, but they had several breakdowns that Henrik bailed them out of.

Projections coming in a few hours, need to get some work done.
