Its fun when youre right, and with me, it seems to happen so infrequently I figure I might as well bring something up.? Yes, I clearly said to the whole world we are out of it, all is lost, yadda yadda yadda.? Well, clearly we are not.? Ok, now that thats out of the way, lets get to something I (seemingly) was right about.? Our problems were not our Defense, our problems have been our Offense.? We are a puck control team, when we control the puck, we play well, when we play well, we play hungry, when we play hungry our forwards come back hard, when our forwards come back hard, it leads to shorter time our defense has to defend, when we retrieve the puck, we go back to offense.? Its a pretty simple formula, but its been one that has escaped this team for a long time.? Have the puck, make things happen.
This game marks a remarkable stretch of 4 straight games where we have played complete 60 minutes of smart hockey. We havent had a stretch like this since last year, thats for sure, and even then it was early in the year last year.? Glad to see were getting it back together, it even quells my Fire Renney comments for the time being.
