I didnt get to post any thoughts last night because I was in the middle of formatting my machine in between the 2nd and 3rd periods and loading Vista onto it.? Then after loading everything on Vista and playing around with it for about an hour, I realized that I just hate vista.? Its a resource hog, and isnt that stable since the thing crashed twice DELETING ITEMS.
But I digress.? On to the game itself.? I was actually pretty happy with the point.? The fact is, the Rangers got a payback game against the Sabers getting several phantom calls.? The truth is, the Sabers only really took 2 penalties all game.? Once on a delay of game, the other was the Hossa trip.? Thats about it, the rest where just phantom stuff, guys tripping on their own, possibly diving (i hate diving, no matter what team does it!!!).? Either way we were very fortunate to get a point since, IMHO, the Sabers were just flying out there, and with the exception of a few shifts here and there, carried the play, and didnt give much in the way of quality shots, and for everyone they did, their excellent goalie was there in waiting.
Weekes was pretty decent in this game, but I still think hes a backup at best, and if we can get anything worthwhile for this guy, or a package including this guy, id do it in a heartbeat.
Again, the Rangers have picked up points in now 6 straight games, but the last 3 have been overtime losses, albeit to 2 top teams in the Sabers twice, and the Thrashers once.
Next game against the Ice-landers, I cant wait!
